Florida College Academy's Library Media Center is a warm and friendly place where children feel welcome to sit and read or involve themselves in research. There are over 11,500 books, videos, CD-ROMs and reference materials available. The friendly staff, Daniel Gibson, Media Specialist, and various volunteers, are always there to provide assistance in book selection or aid in the research process.
The
Library Media Center has four computers available to the students for their
use in research, word processing, Accelerated Reader testing or to search the
online card catalog. The online card catalog can also be accessed in each classroom.
The goal of the Library Media Center is to work together with classroom teachers
to equip children with the skills needed to grow into avid readers and lifelong
learners. Our Library Media Center depends on parent volunteers for assistance
in all areas. Helpers are welcome at any time! Call (813) 899-6800 for more
information.
